First of all, it is necessary to determine the lightning protection method of the generator set, which should mainly be based on the size of the generator capacity, the intensity of local lightning activity and the requirements for power supply reliability.

Theory and practice have proved that as long as the transformer is reliably protected, the generator set generally does not need to take lightning protection measures for the generator set. In multiple minefields, there is no need for overhead direct wiring. For generator sets, in order to prevent lightning waves on the high-voltage side of the transformer from passing through the transformer and endangering the insulation of the generator, it is advisable to install a set of magnetic blowing lightning arresters on theutgoing line of the generator.

Generating sets directly connected to overhead distribution lines must be protected against lightning, and different lightning protection measures should be taken for the insulation of generating sets according to different circumstances in accordance with the provisions of standard design specifications. The lightning arresters used to protect high-voltage rotating machines are generally magnetic blown lightning arresters, and the lightning arresters should be close to the generator set. Under normal circumstances, the lightning arrester can be installed at the motor outlet

If no more than two generators are connected to each group of buses, or the capacity of a single unit does not exceed 500kw and the distance from the lightning arrester does not exceed 50m, the lightning arrester can also be installed on each group of buses. When the neutral point of the direct distribution machine can be extracted and is not directly grounded, magnetic blowing or ordinary valve type lightning arrester should be installed on the neutral point. When using generator sets outdoors, you must pay attention to lightning protection and personal protection.

Many customers purchase diesel generator sets as backup power and only use them a few times a year. If the diesel generator set is in a long-term shutdown state and is not actively maintained, it will lead to the fact that the generator cannot be started when needed. 1. Before sealing

1. In. After the next time the diesel generator set is used, drain the diesel generator set lubricating oil, including the oil in the oil filter, under hot conditions. Because the coolant has anti-rust function, it does not need to be discharged. Add qualified and specified volume of sealed oil into the crankcase, start the diesel generator set to idle speed, stop the engine after running for 1- 1.5 minutes, and then release the sealed oil from the oil pan. The internal storage oil of the engine is dehydrated CF grade 15W/40 lubricating oil.

2. Clean the surface of the diesel generator set, check for no visible dirt, oil, rust, water traces, etc., and then blow dry it with compressed air; use a brush to evenly apply anti-rust oil on the machined surface of all the diesel generator set metal surfaces (i.e. unpainted machined surfaces); note that the surfaces of rubber parts, plastic parts and fiber fabric parts are prohibited from being coated with anti-rust oil or in contact with anti-rust oil.

Note: Certain anti-rust measures must be taken for the surface of accessory drive pulleys.

It is recommended to use FD615 dehydrated antirust oil or antirust oil that meets the following performance requirements for external sealing of the engine.

3. Disconnect the battery connecting wire, clean the terminals, apply a thin layer of grease to charge the battery.

4. Make the transmission tape loose

5. Seal or wrap all exposed air pipes, water pipes or oil pipes with moisture-proof paper or vapor-phase anti-rust paper or polyethylene plastic film tape. The entire air filter should also be sealed or wrapped with moisture-proof paper.

2. Preservation period

Charge the battery every month. Check the liquid level of the battery, add it if necessary, and then charge it. Use a turning tool to move the crankshaft 3-4 times a month.
